Harness the Power of a 5000-Year-Old Framework to Boost your Fertility
We can talk all day about how to eat and supplement for fertility, and it does help. Still, if you really want to get the best results possible getting pregnant naturally or with IUI/IVF, and growing a healthy super baby… we recommend living a fertile lifestyle!
The thing is, we are all unique, and we have unique lifestyle needs that will best support our fertility.
In our practice, we use the Dosha Body Type system, a 5000-year-old Ayurvedic framework, to determine our client’s body types. Once we know your dosha body type, we can give you specific lifestyle recommendations best suited to you that will help you improve your fertility the most.
What are the Dosha Body Types?
You can discover your body type by taking the short quiz located here.
According to Ayurvedic teaching, each individual has a unique combination of three doshas Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These doshas represent the three fundamental energies that govern all physiological processes in the body, including fertility.
The goal with Dosha body typing is not to change your body type but rather to understand your constitution so that you can make choices that will serve you best. You want to live in harmony with your body type to prevent many illnesses or diseases resulting from imbalances and increase your natural fertility.
Vata-Type Recommendations
A Vata-type person is a person who might forget where they place their keys or sunglasses, can be scattered or unfocused, and may be doing one thing and easily get sidetracked by something else. The Vata body type tends to be on the skinnier side and tends to have energy in spurts.
Lifestyle recommendations for the Vata type:
- Adequate, good-quality sleep
- Prioritize discipline, habits, and routines
- Incorporate grounding and meditation practices
- Recommended exercises: nourishing movements like yoga or short circuits of exercise 10 to 15 mins in length
- Prioritize warm, nourishing foods and minimize cold/raw foods
