I had a “clean lifestyle”, ate “healthy”,

I had a “clean lifestyle”, ate “healthy”, was at my ideal weight, and exercised 4-5 times per week….

But after 2 years of trying, I went through several rounds of IUI at the age of 36 and was finally able to conceive my eldest son.

Given the challenges I had faced thus far, when my son was 5 months, we decided we wanted to try again. A few rounds of IUI and no luck.

After 4 failed rounds of IUI, we resorted to IVF.

IVF was TOUGH. The daily injections, mood swings, weight gain, tears, uncertainty, and stress from having to find last minute coverage at the hospital to make doctors appointments and ultrasounds was exhausting.

🤰🏽After an arduous round of IVF, I was able to retrieve only 4 eggs. Two of them are my amazing boy/girl twins!

Here’s the thing: As a traditionally trained physician, I was taught that fertility PLUMMETS at age 35 and that if things don’t work, you resort to IUI or IVF.

There was nothing in between... I’m here to tell you, It’s not true! And we have an 80% success rate to prove it. 🙌🏼

Fertility is a direct reflection of someone’s overall health…and the thing with IVF is it doesn’t get to the REAL reasons you’re struggling to get pregnant.

The major factors contributing to infertility are things like:

Fertility is a systemic issue and needs to be approached from a variety of angles. All our body systems work together! For example:

Plus, fertility treatments are often focused on the woman, but according to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, in 50% of infertility cases it is the male who is the cause of or contributes to infertility. 🤯
